Reducing Workspace IT’s environmental impact.
Techies Go Green. Workspace IT are proud signatories to Techie Go Green - https://www.techiesgogreen.com/. The environmental impact of IT is at the heart of every piece of work that we undertake and we will always engage with our customers to try an reduce the impact of IT transformation on the environment.
As an example, we have written a blog for Techies Go Green on this subject.

Workspace IT also takes its own carbon footprint seriously and we encourage and invest in our employees to enable this. Some of our key initiatives include:
Reducing travel. We implement systems that help companies to allow their users to work from anywhere and get the same consistent experience. This enables staff to work from home which wipes out thousands of car journeys each year.
Practise what we preach. We encourage everyone who works for Workspace IT to work from home 100% of the time – everyone does this. Other than a few customer meetings, our people do not have any commuting carbon emissions.
Extending device life. Today there are many technologies such as IGEL that make the possibility of extending the life of a device a real option. Instead of a 3 to 5 year replacement cycle, with the right technologies, devices can be repurposed to last for 6 to 8 years and beyond.
Green data centres. All of our infrastructure is cloud-hosted by companies that are committed to running their data centres on 100% renewable energy.
Electric cars. We run and promote an electric car salary sacrifice scheme which gives all of our people the ability to get an electric car for a great price. Around 70% of Workspace IT employees drive an electric car.
